Workers Sick of Kansas City Plant’s Toxic Legacy

Sick workers at the Bannister Complex in Kansas City Missouri, adjacent to the NNSA’s KCP nuclear weapons plant, are concerned that their illnesses may be related to the toxins known to have contaminated the complex. A government program for care and compensation for U.S. nuclear weapons workers covers toxic-linked illnesses from the Bannister’s east wing. People that worked on the other side of the federally owned building are finding they are not covered even though they reportedly suffer from similar illnesses. The local NBC affiliate, KSHB-TV, is conducting an investigation and is providing an opportunity for people to share health concerns resulting from their employment at the Bannister Federal Complex by following this link.
